NOW... what a perfect acronym
In the present
In the now
And here we are together at the
Night of Words
For a while I've been writing and I often thought about how words get lost within a box. A Box we call a computer. Words without true meaning and expression. These were words of hope, disappointment, fear, love and forgiveness.... it was all about life... I thought to myself why not share those words. I found there are so many people that I never realized loved to write... Some had not written in years. I want to share a moment with you. I was visiting and telling a friend about the writing I've been doing and I asked her... So you write? her response was yes. I did years ago, but I haven't in so long. I received a text from her a few days later... Saying thank you... you reminded me of something that I loved to so do much before. And I'm doing it again.. I'm writing, I'm writing... Thank you. Tonight, here is the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter of creation, exploration and maybe some inspiration... So enjoy.. Read.. share and write... just write...

Success
A success may come from righting a failure
as sure as failure is certain to those who learn nothing in success

Ice Maiden
Another mother wails into the night
She lost the battle, she lost her fight
She raised them up with all her love
but now another mother rules with an iron glove
She's not the same, she shows no love
She's stronger than the human ones
She takes away both daughter and son
She has many times destroyed a life
She's not some fathers loving wife
She doesn't go by a regular name
She doesn't even show any shame
Mothers watch in fear that day will come
They lose their hearts and they all go numb
For the rest of their life is empty and sad
As she conquered their little girl and lad
The mother of ice goes by many a name
But her birth name is drugs and she in not a game

I am the Umbrella
The way I am only used some of the time
Other times I am forgotten, because I hide
But when I'm out and about
It's when I'm with them I talk a little more aloud
I shelter them and keep them dry
However I'm the one covered in rain all the time
I help them, anyone really
But sometimes no one needs me
I'm then put away
And saved for another rainy day
And sometime I wish of an endless day of rain
Maybe then they won't put me away
Then maybe, for once I can experience
What it's like to not be left out most of the time
To be heard
Sometimes you see me ona day that's shinning
But mostly on a day when the world seems to be crying
But you know I would always try to help
But I don't always speak out
But what I want is to be seen, heard
And broguht out to the sun a little more where I can more than a single word
But I always give and try my best to be there but you forget me
You know I care, but do you? Sometimes it's hard to see

Lies
Hurtful words... that are not so
If not happy... then just go
No need to swarm
And pick apart
Consider your fate
No need for hate
We all have hearts
We have feelings
That's where love starts
Time for healing
Love moves on
Love does grow
Take the cchance
you never know

I miss the time
We used to share
I miss the life
It's so not fair
A life cut short
By choices made
No justice given
Nothing done
Never to return
Cuts like a blade
Too much pain
For anyone
The life you led
Leaves much unsaid
Distance between us
The one thing I dread
So much of a life
Taken away
Sadness left
With nothing to say

The Unfair Trade
Losing one's innocence will not guarantee knowledge, however, gaining knowledge will guarantee the losing of one's innocence.
